Week 3: Missionaries in hostile countries that persecuted Christians

“Our Lord Almighty! You are the God of missionaries. Many of them strive to preach the Gospel to heretics in hostile countries that are resistant to the gospel, such as Islamic countries. Their work is difficult. They constantly face harassment and persecution from the government. There is a risk of being arrested and imprisoned. They are exposed to the possibility of danger and personal harm. Lord, may you grant them the peace that surpasses all understanding, and wisdom to serve You in an unstable society. May You watch over them, keep them safe, remove from before them any snares of Satan. We pray in Jesus’ victorious name. Amen.”
Extra Information:
  • Alex & Sue Ann (China, minority group), Colette (Jordan): Their gathering places are not safe, and their personal safety is threatened.
  • Luke Services International: Their ministry worker is serving in the war zone of Ukraine.
  • Jews for Jesus: The political situation in the Gaza region is unstable. Those who serve sometimes need to hide in bomb shelters, causing them to feel fearful and anxious. Pray for the Lord’s protection over the missionaries who share the gospel with extreme Eastern Orthodox groups and Jewish families.
  • WCCM Agape Theological College & Seminary (Brother Henpu): The neighboor has recently experienced riots due to ethnic conflicts. Vandals have caused widespread destruction, posing a serious threat to the safety of the seminary students. Curfews and armed crackdowns have intensified their fear.
  • See and Hear (China): A ministry couple were sentenced to 7 years in prison for publishing Christian books. Pray for God’s mercy and care for their two young children.
